IAFF Cancer Awareness Month LINK

January is Fire Fighter Cancer Awareness Month. It seems as if every Fire Fighter knows or knows of a brother or sister diagnosed with cancer while still on the job. It’s no secret we have a dangerous occupation, but it’s the danger we can’t see that is killing us the most. The #IAFF has dedicated the entire month of January to continued education about the cancer risks we face. We have and will continue to support those who are fighting against cancer. There is a wealth of information on the IAFF website to help affiliate leaders raise awareness on the leading cause of firefighter deaths and how to help members when they are fighting for their lives against cancer.
